Good. Now we need Dickey to have a great performance tomorrow.
Yeap. As hard as I've been on Dickey (as have many, and deservedly so most of the time) he's been real good since the all star break. Sure would be cool to have him and Estrada be the ones to come in and turn this series around pitching wise.
That's what we needed. Strong pitching through and through and patient, timely hitting.
Working counts, drawing walks, and the big blast. Tulowitzki needed that but even more - the Blue Jays as a whole needed that hit. That was a massive monkey removed from their back.

Anyone still think that Tulo really would rather not be on the Jays long term?
Usual loaded questions like the broadcasters like to stir up (about the trade) got a cold response about Q itself from Tulo, but you really don't get the warm and fuzzies from him that he's settled in (off the field) to Toronto.
Doesn't matter for time being, but may be interesting going forward.

I think the guy is just very serious. But his reaction to the trade was never great. Matters not as he is under club control - if the Jays lose both Price and Estrada he might be the piece you move for pitching and go with Travis + Goins up the middle.

Or maybe he was just pissed off with questions that had nothing to do with the game.

Yeah he didn't like the question, but he did say again today he didn't like the way it was handled. The TO media has tried to cuddle up to him since the trade, and he's not acted in general like a guy like Price since getting here, that's for sure.
But yeah, with Goins and Travis, you'd have full control and get a very handsome return for Tulo.

What did Tulo say in the interview that has people rattled? I missed it.
I don't make too much out of it, Tulowitzki has always been very quiet and somewhat reserved with the media. He was once named the most boring allstar player I think.

I won 7 gold gloves. I think part of winning them was cause I could catch.

He was just asked about the trade post game and he said (again) he didn't like the way it went down, but glad he's part of the post season.
Not rattling myself or anyone, just an observation.
Its not going to affect his play on the field but he clearly (still) feels betrayed by the Rockies for trading him, and trading him somewhere thst likely wasnt his first choce, without any input that he felt he had earned or had an understanding with the front office about.
