Hoping for a win, but I have a feeling the Sedin's will continue to own us.

Vancouver Canucks @VanCanucks
#Canucks will not make any line-up changes tonight vs. Flames, according to coach Desjardins.

Last night's sunset was a good omen. Both the Flames and Stampeders will win.

Wes Gilbertson @SUNGilbertson
Interesting to see #Flames D Ladislav Smid on ice at Rogers Arena. If he's travelling, he's close to returning.

When we have a full lineup back, who does Smid take out? Engelland seems like the only person.

According to Vancouver radio from yesterday, game 1 was not a good indicator of the Canucks abilities for this season: the Sedin line was very average, and yet piled up points. The Horvat-Vrbata-Baertschi line was amazing, and should also score a few goals tonight. All systems go.

Does Smid provide an upgrade over anyone in the starting lineup? I don't see it.

I hope they don't just throw him back into game action. This isn't Brodie. He was already on a steady decline, and last year he only played 31 games due to the neck injury and concussion and a few healthy scratches. He could use an AHL conditioning stint at minimum. And I'm not entirely convinced he can still be a regular defenseman at the NHL level.

Well I think we can write off that second line for tonight. Yeah I know that's unfair to Bennett and Kutcher, but I honestly believe that Raymond is that bad.

I realize it's not a true must-win game however losing two straight to the Canucks to open the season is a 4 point swing to a division rival which is never a good thing no matter how you look at it as nothing is guaranteed. They need a bounce back effort as if the Canucks are on the downturn the Flames need to give them a push off the edge not pull them back.

That forwards middle 6 is brutal. Bollig? Raymond? Are we already tanking for Matthews? Why is Jones on the 4th line?

Surely it's just written out of order. Bollig won't have more ice time than Stajan or Jones..... Right?

Not crazy about the idea of pulling Jooris over Bollig. Even when Jooris is playing half-assed, he's better than Bollig playing lights out.
