I think he struggles for the rest of the year, and they shouldn't buy in January, you should never get more than 1 player in january

Then next summer when he can bring in his guys and use the gegenpressing they will look better, cause right now there aren't many players in that squad who would be adept to pressing outside Henderson, Ings, and Firminho

Coutinho, Milner, Allen, Moreno, and Clyne all fit Klopp's pressing as well. Benteke was a rumoured BVB target when Klopp was in charge, so Klopp must like him, too. The overall talent level isn't there yet, and I agree with you that it will be a project that takes time, but I think that there are enough players there who fit his style for him to have a decent go this season.

I'm really excited to watch it all unfold.

Time will tell but if anything he will bring excitement and passion to the club and their supporters.

He has fire, charisma, presence, fiery passion, and he's likeable and does great interviews.

He's the .... anti van Gaal.

Sunderland have hired Sam Allardyce. Great choice IMO.

Well I guess that solves the 'should Liverpool spend in January' question.

Firmino and Benteke are out week-to-week and Gomez and Ings are out for the rest of the season.

Ugh. 2 season ending ACLs in 2 days. Ings and Gomez were looking very promising so far this season, too. Hopefully they can manage to return to full strength.

Just what Klopp needs right before his first game.

Saturday is going to be hard fought.

Well for my new favourite team, Son is out for this weekend. It will be an interesting game against Liverpool. Hopefully Liverpool remains in shambles for another week at least.

As an aside, if you are in England and have a chance to go to a game do it! I mean posting that in this thread seems silly because most fans would, but its not cheap so you could find yourself on the fence or wondering whether its worth it. I have been to a lot of sporting events in general, and the Tottenham vs. Man City game I was privileged enough to attend a few weeks ago ranks up there with the best of them. Just incredible. I sang, I chanted and did my best to soak it all in. I can't recommend it enough!

At least Klopp's initial Team Selection will be fairly easy for him.

"Okay, hands up, who is left?"

based on the media it wont matter who he picks

Liverpool should have this wrapped up with a 3 or 4 goal lead at half time

no Dutch players in Uniteds starting XI today. You don't see that too often with van Gaal in charge ...

That was a fun game between Tottenham and Liverpool. Lots of good chances both ways, and pretty good pace for the most part. Too bad Kane didn't score with a little time to go in the second half!
