Good game.

If only some Oilers fan in St.Louis could throw his jersey on the ice....

So Tyler/Taylor is settled, and now so is Eichel/McDavid. What's next?

Kid seriously need to just go quiet for the first half of the season, let the spotlight fade away and then resume the beginning of his career, it is simply all too much. Has to be.

This circus style hype machine is terribly done by the media. And in this day and age it is far too accessible and unavoidable in day to day life to avoid. You kind of have to feel bad for McDavid right now.

If it makes you feel better, sure think that way.

its called reality, Oilers didn't put the puck in the net...in fact they didn't even touch it on the entire play

McDavid 3-13 in the dot

I know this is slightly tongue in cheek on your part, but it's not far off considering the circumstances between the two (Eichel McDavid). Eichel's just going to merrily truck along largely un-noticed for a few years slaying the debate. Meanwhile the Canadian media frets over what McDavid ate for lunch and how he pre-game napped and how he tied his shoes and what kind of shoes were they and the color scheme. It's not far fetched that McDavid will never reach his full potential under such scrutiny.

Hey what do you know McDavid's first loss as an Oiler. Don't worry son, only 49 of those this season left to go!

McDavid's first taste of perennial losing. Only 9 grueling years until he becomes a UFA. The same amount of years that the Oilers have last made the playoffs.

Exactly.
The Connor cam was awesome... And only showed about 10% more of McDavid than the regular Sportsnet cam
