Alright, I'm already getting salty about this 5th season scotia commercial still being a thing the year after.

It's going to be a tough year that way.

We're coming off a season that was nothing but unexpected delight pretty much the whole time (a team expected to compete with McDavid), and going into a season where expectations are way up (a team that made the second round and then only got better in the off season).

The trick is to believe that the Flames are going to suck this year. So hopefully we can all convince ourselves of that in this thread during the first period and then just really enjoy the season from here out.

Man, I did NOT miss these 5th season ads.

Also, it's interesting seeing Canadian political ads after living in the States for a while. There's no way you could say any of the things in the NDP plan and not be labeled a communist bent on the destruction of America.

Gonna be honest, the Canucks look more like a playoff team that a cellar dwellar. Moving Sutter to the wing and Horvat to the 2nd line could pay big dividends for them this year.

I keep forgetting he's only 22. And he's adapting to a new team and system.

He's good and only going to get better. He also made a nice read to jump up into the rush on that partial breakaway, should have been 1-0 early.

He'll be ok.

It's one period, and they were buried for the first 1/3 of it. Don't be fooled. They're not very good.
