I have always wanted to know where this store was. I don't think there are any in Calgary (or Alberta?). The commericals always say across Canada, but I've never come across one. They used to dominate the HNIC commercials before Rona did last season.

I mentioned that to the wife the other night. They advertise all the time but is there even a store in Calgary? What a waste of money. Are they subsidized by the government or something?
Pretty much my thoughts as well.

I'm pretty sure there is one just west of the Airport.. just off McKnight Bulv.. center street. I could be wrong, but I might be right.

Well, every small town around has one. It must not be a city thing yet.

Home hardware is mainly found in smaller towns and cities.

Check out places like Strathmore, Okotoks, Airdrie, Olds, etc. etc.

They all have them.

I think they move into areas that cant support a big box like Home Depot or RONA.
Same sort of situation in the grocery market. You see a lot of IGA's in smaller centers, not many Safeway stores. Though it seems this may be changing.

Was going to say the same thing. Nearly every small town in Alberta has a home hardware, or a Home Furnature store, which is their offshoot.

Havent noticed Safeway building into smaller centres, but Superstore seems intent on building Extra Foods stores in every town above 5000 in the province.

My hometown was one of the first, I believe, to get one of those big Extra stores 8 years or so ago. It's not big enough, I guess, because they just started building a new one there now.

They're popping up everywhere. I never thought I'd see the day when towns that small get stores that big.

It used to be there but now the Picses pet store took over the entire strip mall.
