Bad timing for a fumble

Best part of that is the was Tate with his hands in the air on the replay.
He chased the money as an average reciever, thinking he was better than he was, and is now 0-4.

Wilson looked terrible again and finally lost those fumbles he didn't the last year, but pulls it out. Defense, and a non existent DET run game, and Johnson of course stretching.

Only 1 game out of the division lead, after really playing only 1 good game.

Wow lucky win for the Hawks, it looks like the Lions wanted to lose it more. I checked the score a few minutes ago expecting a 17-13 Lions win or 13-13 heading to OT.

Well if the Lions had been conservative on 3rd and 1 and ran the ball, if they didn't make it then it's a FG for 13-13. You'd have to think that 13-13 with 1:45 left Seattle would come back and win with Hauska kicking 60 yarders. So going for the TD it was the right call.

Twitter tells me that the ruling should have been a penalty on the Seahawks

Yes. Should've been Lions ball, goal to go after Seattle penalty for batting ball out of back of the endzone. Same endzone as the "Fail Mary".

Monday Night, Seahawks at home. Refs blow another one. I can't stand Carroll, and I'm sure he won't even acknowledge anything odd happened at all.

Nice try, but he already did in his presser.

Blown call sure, but not until 20 mins after does anyone look it up. Blame the rule book for being too large for players and coaches, whatever.

If the rule was well known by all, Caldwell would've been out on the field arguing, but before that, Wagner also had plenty of time and space to easily fall on it rather then doing something which would give the ball back to DET. And/or, if he stumbled when trying to recover it and hits his knee and goes out inadvertantly, there's no penalty; the subtleties of the rule.

Obscure to be sure, especially when you always see punters kick it out after bad snaps (not 'batting' I guess). It's just funny on MNF again a weird call will be what's talked about with the Hawks. I'm glad Carroll acknowledged it.

Crazy stuff. Really unfortunate for the Lions and likely to cost the head referee a hefty fine if not a suspension. The Hawks are like the Wings in the NHL, and get ridiculous calls in their favor at home which has fans elsewhere truly starting to hate that franchise.

That's a tough one for the Lions. They played a pretty tough game, and to lose like that has to sting. Feel bad for Calvin Johnson there he's very highly respected by all the DB's in the league for how he handles himself on the field.

perhaps the NFL should invest in full time refs, but I guess they don't have the money to do that when they are spending millions on "important" investigations like deflategate.... the NFL continues to look bush league
