Kassian hospitalized with minor injuries after traffic accident
Dave StubbsVerified account @Dave_Stubbs 4h4 hours ago
Witness Steve Petrenko shared this photo of truck involved in #Habs Zack Kassian's accident
A 20-year old woman was driving the truck, which ran into a tree on Clanranald Ave. A 24-year-old man and 18-year-old woman were passengers in the vehicle, said Montreal police spokesperson Manuel Couture.

The witness says the man was brought into the lobby of his residential building. He was asked by paramedics if he knew where he was, to which he replied “Quebec,” said Petrenko.

By the description it sounds like he suffered a minor concussion. He doesn't need anymore of those, especially off the ice.

Maybe change that Kind of Trucks decal to King of Concussions?

The same as those who drive them in LA, New York, Vancouver, Toronto, Seattle, etc.
Weird question if you ask me.

Ever been to Montreal? You don't really see a lot of them in Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, Seattle outside of work trucks. I think I saw one full-size pickup in five days in Vancouver. Edmonton/Calgary are not the norm at all when it comes to vehicles on the road as we are the pickup truck capital of Canada.

From TSN: "(Kassian) was all bloodied up and stuff. He was in a daze," a witness told the Gazette. "He had a hard time walking, and he almost took a fall."
It was a dive.

Right. I forgot you were right there with me. I'm sure there may have been a few out of my peripheral view but the lanes are pretty narrow in Vancouver and you can tell when you are driving around a full size pickup because they take an entire lane and I only recall that once. I'm well aware there's more than one full size pickup trucks in Vancouver but the fact remains these vehicles are not nearly as common in a lot of cities as they are in Alberta.
Anyway it Friedman was talking about Kassain possibly being entered into the substance abuse program and the Canadiens weren't happy about him being out on the town at 6 a.m. a few days before the start of the season.

I've been to Montreal and Vancouver several times and have seen plenty of pickup trucks.
Besides, who cares?

I live in Montreal. Maybe 1 vehicle in 100 is a full size pickup truck - and that includes construction/yard care companies. Probably like 1 in 250 gen. pop. is accurate.
But yeah - doesn't matter.

Well, regardless of what he was driving, in what city, because it doesn't matter.....
I hate hearing someone hurt from any sort of incident like this. He may be a goon on the ice, but he's still a human off the ice. I'm glad it wasn't any worse, and I wish him a speedy recovery.

There seems to be more to the story. Marc Bergevin is pissed right now.

As of now #Habs Kassian is not on injured reserve, but Bergevin says he's considering options, which doesn't rule out a possible suspension.

Bergevin says he had very clear discussions with Kassian about his rep and the opportunity he had to change it
|
Apparently the accident occurred at 6:30 in the morning and I don't think it was a trip to church.

Well what the heck happened? He allowed a drunk lady friend to drive his truck or something? Speculating, but to me it looks like he was willing to let her get a DUI instead of himself.
