Pure elitism.
He has a right to fear for his life, mainly from all of the mentally unstable people walking around with guns, that wold love to kill him.

But my view point is that if you own a gun you should have to add that gun to your home owners insurance and it actually increases your premiums to cover if you use said gun and cause harm to anybody.
Purchasing a NFA or CSSA membership includes $5mil in Liability coverage. And for something like $25. It's absurdly cheap.

A homeowners policy is not the answer here as the liability coverage is only applicable to negligence on your property.

If you had October 1 as the date for the "When will the October 2015 US Mass Shooting take place" pool, you've won.

15 have now been confirmed dead, according to the Oregon State police. No doubt we'll be getting the gun nut/NRA response that this was a gun free zone and that had more good guys been packing heat, this never would have happened. On this particular topic, America is beyond a lost cause.

They rarely seem to get these guys alive. Good that they were able to in this case. Maybe if more of them survived to answer for their crimes, this would help things.

Get ready for the media to give as much attention to the shooter as possible

They have to do their part to ensure there will be a next time. Meanwhile, 300 million of us are glued to the TV, watching the coverage and buying the products they peddle in between their "journalistic" reports.

They give attention to the shooter because people click on the stories.

They don't care about anything else. They just want the advertising dollars.

So tragic...I just don't get it. I don't understand what is motivating these shootings. It is incomprehensible.

Zero emotional response, that's what these headlines get out of me now

"And in other news, there was a bombing at an Iraqi checkpoint that killed 3, and a gunman at an Oregon school that killed 15. Now here's Jim with the weather"

It's kind of sad that there's been a thread for this issue for so long....its 110 pages.

Does anyone know if there's shootings this common in any other country in the world or is it only US that is messed up?
