Flames @ Jets | 6:00PM MT | TSN3
It's expected the Flames will ice a roster for Saturday's contest at The MTS Center which will mirror a roster of Calgary youngsters, it's a chance for one last audition.
The Flames summoned a pair of defenceman Wednesday -- Patrick Sieloff and Kenney Morrison
Will be show on Center Ice as a free preview.

Jets region only unless you have NHL Centre Ice. The TSN3 feed will be there for all CI subs.

Confusing because it's listed as TSN3 on the Flames website, which if it was only going to be available in the Jets market, I don't think they'd list it and get the fans hopes up? Would they?

It's Centre Ice free preview time, so even if the TSN3 feed is blacked out, the Centre Ice feed should be good even if you don't subscribe to Centre Ice (it worked for last year's preseason game against the Jets).
At least they're not doing what the Oilers did when they played the Jets last week. They streamed a crappy feed on their website and blacked out the TSN3 feed on Centre Ice.

Can you elaborate on Centre Ice? Do I just create an account online for the free preview? I'm not sure if I have the channel on a Shaw HD box.

They may have that listed for fans of the Flames outside the city that are looking for the broadcast.
Sportsnet has the regional rights for Flames games, and the national rights for the league as a whole. TSN has the Jets regional rights. Viewers in Manitoba & Saskatchewan will be able to see the game. Alberta viewers will need CI I believe.

Torie Peterson, who works for the Flames, just tweeted that it will be on TSN3. So, it looks like there won't be a blackout.

Just scroll through the digital channels, and if you start finding weird porn movie names, you've gone too far... but not much too far, the CI channels are just above the porno PPV channels.

Thanks for reminding me about the CI free preview.
I always forget about the CI free preview every year. I like to catch some Islanders games but my wife won't let me order CI for the whole year. Apparently I watch enough hockey already.

Sometimes the NHL waives the blackouts for unique situations. It doesn't happen often, but I remember it happening once before. I don't remember the circumstances, but it was a few years ago.
Maybe this is one of those times?

Good test for the young guys trying to make the team... The Jets will dress pretty much an opening night roster and are a big, heavy team with speed. Hope the kids can grid out a win and impress to push for some spots.
