As one who remembers the choke of '86 (or was it '87?), this is fantastic. I watched baseball for the first time in 10 years.

I'm glad they put up so many runs in the 9th so I had a chance to get to the house in time to catch the bottom of the ninth. Just awesome stuff. You knew they weren't going to let the Yankees lose to clinch the title. They made sure they won to clinch.

Real champagne party is about to happen once the "b squad" wraps up this 2nd game. Jays are just getting started!

Ok longtime Jays fans..who throws the 1st pitch on Game 1 of the ALDS? I personally would like to see either of Carlos Delgado or Roy Halladay be a part of that special moment. Two all time great Jays who didn't get to experience any of this during those long dark years of being a part of Blue Jays teams who were good enough to win any division...outside of the AL East. Yankees and Red Sox were just fielding INSANE ballclubs during those hard times.

I wonder if the game is still tied at 0 in the 7th or 8th if they decide to pinch hit all the regulars into the game just because they can.

I know it's how he got his start, but I still find it strange to hear Jim Hughson calling baseball.

And he gets thrown out on a popup because he thought there were 2 outs.

If this 2nd game today wasn't the meaningless baseball that we all know and love from prior years, I would've totally flipped out at Carerra for not paying attention on the field. But alas, I'm pretty sure he's also thinking about the postgame champagne party.

That was a rough inning. Then I remember they won the A.L East today and I don't mind as much.

I've never seen a dugout so happy regardless of what's happening on the field. I honestly can't wait until the 2nd game is over so the whole team can celebrate this memorable day.
