It's still surreal that the Flames landed Hamilton. The kid is seamless in his transition game, and hasn't missed a beat playing with Gio. There is 0 worry when a 2 on 1 comes his way. Not used to feeling like this from the last decade with new D acquisitions.

Season hasn't even started and that trade could end being the trade of the year. A 22 yo. d-man under contract now for 6 years. Pretty crazy.

Can't say I'm terribly impressed with the Avs acquisitions. Grigorenko especially just seems really easy to knock off the puck. Jooris just schooled him in that period.
