Nice outlet from Morrison on the Bollig goal, might be an option to start the year in Calgary as well.

True, but one game doesn't erase his spotty play last season. If he shows that same edge again over 2 or 3 games, then yes he should be considered.
It's definitely a tough decision.

I think Morrison needs some AHL time to polish up his power play skills. He won't get that in Calgary.

I honestly don't think you'll ever see Smid on the ice again. Brodie is out at least for the first week of the season, so somebody will be on the roster. Hence, the discussion as to whom.

The Canucks have very few legitimate prospects. They're filling their roster with young guys because they have to. I mean heck, they're gifting Baertschi a spot. They also thought Virtanen would be on the roster. That would be a mistake at this point in his career.
