Even if it's pre-season, it's fun to watch the Flames kick the snot out of the filthy Canucks.

Yeah, it's not like the Canucks are brimming with options. No one said he would play well, but he is pretty much already pencilled in for the back-up spot behind Miller.

There's always waivers. Or maybe we can trade them a goalie…

If Bennett and Hudler play together this season they are the #2 line. That would put Backlund as the #3. But the ice time between the top 3 lines will probably be pretty even anyway.
Gaudreau - Monahan - Ferland
Colborne - Bennett - Hudler
Frolik - Backlund - Bouma
Byron - Stajan - Jones
Jooris
Raymond
Bollig
Shore
Granlund
Just spitballing.......so may options. There has to be a trade or move before the season. Jooris shouldn't be scratched. Raymond really has no place anymore. I really like Shore, he should stick. Really have no idea what Hartley will roll with. Really nice depth right now.

also why does Messier say Alberta?
Are they trying to convince him that he doesnt have to live in Edmonton?
Why does he call himself Mess too?
that commercial is almost as bad as that thing Katz did at the draft

Do preseason games always have the music cut out during a goal or are the flames having a new song this season that they don't wanna share yet?

Well, he is landing at the Edmonton Airport, so he's nowhere near Edmonton at the time.

Got kicked out because he wasn't on the official roster submitted by the Flames.

I like that lineup but I'd switch Hudler and Ferland and Bennet with Backlund. Don't think you can break up Hudler, Monahan, and Gaudreau.

I know you mentioned it, but it's really nothing to worry about at all in my opinion. Pre-season is a time for vets to get the rust out of them playing at 60-70% effort, the team to get accustomed to systems and where to go in different situations and management to evaluate how far their kids are. That's it.

Markstrom's not that bad, he's shaky but he probably just needs a few games to find his confidence in the NHL. He was probably single-handedly responsible for the AHL Flames falling out of the playoff race last season. Went something like 9-0 on us.
