No. His slap shot is not good enough imo to be an elite scorer. 50 goals is extremely tough to hit without having an elite slap shot. Look at the guys who've hit it lately. Ovechkin, Stamkos, Iginla. Only guy I can think of who doesn't have an elite slap shot who hit 50 recently is Crosby and his smarts make up for it.

Monny was already playing at a 50 goal pace for the second half of last season as a 20 year old.
