Looks like anyone with ties to Calgary will be playing for Vancouver. Prust, Jones, Baertschi for your former-Flames. Sutter for your son of former Flames coach. Virtanen for your Hitman. Shrinkydink for your born-and-raised Calgarian.
Don't forget couple of Bid Daddy Ferland's bitc hes in Sbisa and Dorsett.
3 games in 3 nights, two away sandwiching a home game, so everyone will play. Why not give the home town the best line up?
This definitely makes the most sense.

You know Ferland and Dorset are going to go when they get the chance. Probably better to have it done with in the pre-season rather than losing Ferland for 5 minutes in a regular season game.
Canucks are going to try and flex their muscle and show the Flames that they aren't scared or intimidated like they were last year. This could be a rough game.

Which two Canucks will Engelland fight (at the same time)?
Rumour saith he plans to fight three this time, and work up from there. If the Flames and Canucks meet in the playoffs again this year, Engelland will go out and fight a line brawl all by himself, 1 on 5.

Are they actually playing 3 on 3 OT tonight regardless of the score to give both teams a taste of it, or is it just your prediction that this game will go into OT? Genuinely curious.

Nice for the fans - I'm going tonight and I'm happy to see so many guys who are actual NHLers on the home team.
Byron's first game, right?
A buddy of mine grew up with Byron and apparently he's been getting chirped a lot by his friends for his inability to score on breakaways. Hopefully that's extra motivation for him to bury a few chances this season!
