$918 from 10 cinemas! Each cinema had an average of, what, 8 people watch the movie? That is unreal...

Sportsnet and TSN confirming Platini to run for FIFA president.

I like Platini where he is. His reputation will surely get sullied if he becomes the FIFA boss.

I dont get the love for Platini, hes just as bad as Blatter just on a smaller stage.

Give him the big job and life for FIFA continues on as usual.

Platini won't even accommodate Goal Line Technology and prefers that absolutely useless Goal Line Official.

LOL the goal line official must feel like such an idiot standing there in a ready pose for seriously no reason at all. Absolutely useless. Just get Hawk eye line in tennis and voila.

@SamBorden: BREAKING: Swiss attorney general bringing charges of "criminal mismanagement" and "misappropriation" against Sepp Blatter.

@SamBorden: BREAKING: Swiss police search and seize data from Sepp Blatter's office as part of criminal investigation.

@SamBorden: BREAKING: Swiss authorities "interrogated" Blatter today. Also heard from Michel Platini, who may have information about alleged payment.

@SamBorden: Swiss authorities are focusing on two transactions: a deal with Jack Warner (alleged 2005) and a "disloyal" payment to Platini (in 2011)

This is going to be brutal, once they start peeling back the lawyers on this they're going to have to be arresting people left, right and centre.

I dont know what Blatter was thinking, the second this started he should have found himself the deepest, most remote hole to hide in and never returned. I cant imagine he thinks hes going to get away with it at this stage.

Its mind boggling, everyone knows what they've been doing and they were getting away with it, but they pushed it with this last election. He could have stepped down, walked away and then lied through his teeth about his innocence.

Because I'm sure Platini's taken money too, and if I were Jerome Valcke I'd have fallen off the face of the earth by now because hes surely next.

Locke, you're approaching this issue as a person who thinks logically. This doesn't apply to Blatter and his lemmings though, they have always thought they are untouchable, especially Blatter himself. They've lived in their corrupt bubble without realizing that it's about to burst and I LOVE IT. About time.

Haha! I guess so.

One of my favourite things is Corporate Fraud, I find it a fascinating topic and this is Fraud on an industrial scale, but it was so brazen and out in the open and obvious it was like they were flaunting their corruption in your face.

And the crazy thing to me is that Wacko Blatter and his flunky Valcke could totally have gotten away with it if they'd even made a slight effort beyond obviously vapid lip-service to keep it even marginally discreet or, if they'd quit and run right before that last election.

But now? Now their asses are well and truly in the sling.

But if you take down Blatter, you take down Valcke and if that happens everyone goes with them. Including Platini.

Basically, you call another FIFA general election, once everyone is seated and in attendance you chain the doors from the outside and torch the building and salt the earth where it once stood and start over from scratch.

I've read a book by a German author about Blatters FIFA tenure a few months ago and it was a shocking read to say the least. It's amazing they got away with it for such a long time. Blatter, Valcke, Warner, bin Hammam, Blazer ... they all thought they could walk on water. Glad they finally face legal trouble, should have happened WAY earlier. I have no doubts that Platinis hands are dirty as well.

There's a really good E:60 piece about it on youtube too, I recommrnd watching it.

Whats the name of the book? Link? I'm interested so I'll have a watch.

Watching FIFA was like watching your senile Grandpa run an elite cyber-hacker ring, Ol' Gramps clearly has no idea what the hell hes doing but somehow hes still pocketing obscene amount of cash.

The book is "Fifa-Mafia" by Thomas Kistner. No idea if there's an English version though.
