Can confirm supercell is sex. Used it as my Raid primary all of yesterday, made it to the step before Crota before we gave up since we had no idea what to do. Love how important teamwork is now.

Made it all the way to Oryx so far. Just learning the fight. This raid requires an insane amount of communication and strategy.

Supercell... so nice, so fun. After 3 Suros', and a Monte Carlo I decided after some strikes that I would farm one more exotic engram. The engram fell, saw it was a primary when I picked it up. Ran to the cryptarch... Bam!!! Supercell... Finished up a bounty on the moon and did a public event with it. Saw a major, started shooting him and all the tier 1 enemies died around him. Was pretty awesome

Played a ton on Friday and Saturday and the three of coins buff is basically a must have at this point because I see that getting patched at some point to lessen the amount of actual exotic drops.
I was able to nab a new hawkmoon, and the jade rabbit, which is broken good. Played properly, you never have to re-load, but even if you do it has spray and play. Got some exotic amour too, but right now I have some blue armour that out levels it - I'll have to figure out what I want to infuse down the road, but not right now.
Played the raid last night and it was great. We went blind and made it to the Ogre part and got frustrated and stopped there. Great teamwork mission though, which I really like. Hoping the clan will want to try again today, but we played a while yesterday!

Don't think I'm spoiling much here, but just in case:
Edit: as an aside, I really like how you can clear bounties and earn XP in the raid now. Not sure why that wasn't a thing before.

Beat Oryx last night, amazing fight. It's nothing like beating Crota or Skolas, probably on par with Atheon but I'm inclined to say it's more epic based on how the fight finishes.

I'm really excited to try the raid on Tuesday!
I don't have a clan though, so it'll be with randoms.
I'm 294 light though, so I don't think I'll have trouble finding a team.

Also find engrams and glimmer as well. It makes it a little more worthwhile when you're dedicating hours to a single fight. Even if you walked away empty handed, it's still a participatory reward.

Will definitely hope that any random groups you find will have good communication skills and equipment as those are key for something so early in its existence.

Quick question on light level.
If, for example I am light level 260 with the 170 ice breaker equipped, does the ice breaker get a damage output increase or is it fixed at 170? I think its capped at 170 but not sure.

Question - if I have just the baseline Destiny for xbox 360, how much is it to just get the taken king expansion? They seem to want $100 bucks for it online (but includes original game, 2 expansions and taken king). I don't see any other option. Thx

Yes, the damage is capped at 170. Your overall light level is just an average of your weapons and amour giving you a good idea of how strong you are overall. However, each weapon and amour piece is still capped by the actual defense or attack value for that particular piece of gear.
Long story short, pretty much all year one stuff is useless barring PvP where levels don't matter.

Also, super jealous that you guys have already beaten the raid. Our clan has about 6 hours or so in it, but keep getting caught up at certain points. We want to figure it out on our own though, so no spoilers! Just lamenting how awesome it would have been to finish this weekend.

I actually raided with a number of different groups this weekend. I tend to have odd raiding times so my schedule is all over the map. We took the approach to go into fights blind, but after seeing it for a bit looking at strategies and Reddit.
Look forward to seeing others progress through and talk about it, and like I posted above, if I'm online and you need someone, throw me a message. Next few weeks will be about gearing up for hard mode.

That is what I thought. I did the night fall last night and we kept running out of ammo (Juggler,playing it safe at the part with the sherikers.) and was thinking maybe the icebreaker might be useful.
