Are you looking for somewhere with the best price? Or product knowledge. If you're looking to go check out TVs and ask a ton of questions, go to KW or Sounds of Music.
If you're looking for best price, your answers are already in the thread, but I'll add London Drugs to the list. Everybody forgets about London Drugs.

I would be looking for the best price, like yourself I have already researched generally what im looking for in terms of spec

Costco is great for low and medium end TV's, but I don't think they sell the high end ones, so it depends what your looking for. I usually see older models and mid range stuff there.
Best Buy will match anything generally and have the best selection. The staff isn't that great though.
Staff is good at Visions, can help you make a good choice, but yeah, make sure they drop their price.

Came into the thread to share my experience with Superstore, only to see Ken beat me to it. Not the best selection and no knowledgeable staff, but find a sale + a no-tax day, and it'll be hard to beat, especially for those that either don't know how to (me) or don't like to negotiate (my wife)

Costco online you don't need a membership. Can't beat Costco especially since their extended warranty is dirt cheap.

This is a good deal. http://m.costco.ca/SamsungĀ®-UN58H52...100128126.html
Edit: found one cheaper at best buy but for the extended warranty it's $230 but with Costco its $59.

You need a membership to shop there period. It's $55 for the year. Unless you order online, but prices may be higher.

Sounds of Music is a complete joke. I find that their elitism, attitude and ownership are misdirected and give high end audio a bad name. They are unapproachable for the most part.
This is not directed at you, but my personal experience with this company over the years. Unprofessional.
Agree with London Drugs and really do believe in Costco for the bang for the buck on non-important TV's.

It would have been about 2 months ago at the 130th ave location. I had my eye on that TV for a while, and had seen it go as low as $800 plus tax. Superstore had their flyer out and it had the TV as "too low to show." I happened to be up early on the Saturday and went down. It was on for $750, then with 10% off, GST, and eco fee it came to around that $725.

Bought my boxing day at BB.
Had decent experience at Visions with sale. Never tried negotiating though. Do their sales staff has the power to negotiate on any item? Even sales?

Yes
Have a few people I know used to work there. You can negotiate and yes there is that old saying in sales nobody walks. Do what you have to do to close the deal......

For anyone interested in the result I ended up getting Samsung's newest 1080p model(maybe the last?). Stayed away from 4k on the TV( Considered the JU7500), due to limited current content/Price. Got a 4k on the computer monitor
Here is the model: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/...eda263a245en02
Here was the review(found this website really helpful, It gives you recommended settings as well. Cnet was pretty good as well): http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-brand/samsung/j6300
Good input from everyone in this thread

Isn't Costco electronics similar to the Boxing Day Sales at the Big Box Stores? IE. A different model designed specifically for them which has some inferior components to the standard version of the product in order to sell at a cheaper price? That was always my impression. I now it is on other things (Vacuums, appliances, etc.).
