Scoring Winger
|
How did the scoring work there? Does it always go right to a tie break after the first two sets split?
Edit: To clarify, referring to mixed doubles.

5 match wins in 5 days, or as many as she had in the last 6 months. This is probably the happiest she's been since before the Wimbledon final last year.

That seemed like a date. Like when you go mini-golfing, just really sweet and awkward at the same time. Genie seemed embarrassed by the questions.

Exactly. At they US Open, they play two full sets and if there's a tie, the first duo to 10 points and leading by two in the third gets the win.
I could be wrong, but Wimbledon is the only major where the three full sets are played.

Wimbledon is also the only major to do 5 sets for mens doubles, which is really dumb considering the grass gets even more chewed up than if they did 3.

It happened lots in the 60s,70, and 80s when there were few players.
Probably has not happened in 30 years.

Fabio's just crushing the ball, he's hit twice as many winners as Nadal. He takes the 3rd set to trail 2 sets to 1.

Well now...does Nadal have any gas left in the tank? Fognini hammering the ball on both sides.
