I used to think Skydome was a good place to see a ball game....then I went to Comerica Park. Good. God. The ONLY way baseball should be watched.

Baseball, haven't been to that many places, old vet stadium in Philly, the Ballpark in Arlington, and amazing Camden Yards in Baltimore. Absolutley terrific park to watch a game in.
The old Forum on Montreal holds a special place in my heart, not the nicest building, but you could feel the history in the place. All those banners and retired numbers, the ice surface I'd seen a thousand times on TV. Being there live for the very last game was something I'll never forget.
Bell Centre was ok, bloody huge. Been to lots of games in Northlands and the Dome and no others so not a lot to compare to.
For football, only been to McMahon and Commonwealth, with the stadium up north holding a huge advantage IMO.
Basketball, I've only seen one game at Key Arena in Seattle, that was a decent experience. I'll get better tickets next time, though.

Just remember folks, it's Rogers Centre now. And the feeling there is much different(better) with the roof open then when it is closed.
Kudos to those who mentioned Newlands in Cape Town and the Cricket grounds in Melbourne. Both have a fantastic atmosphere. I would add the stadium at the University of Texas in Austin, where I was fortunate enough to see the Longhorns play their longtime rival Aggies from Texas A&M.
I was at Yankee Stadium in '99 to see a Jays-Yanks game, and the guy behind me noticed me singing along with the Canadian national anthem. He asked, "Are you a Blue Jay fan?" I answered yes, then he put his (large) hand on my shoulder and calmly said, "I don't think you'll be cheering for them today." Ahhhh, Yankee fans.
Other nice ball stadiums I've been to -Shea Stadium, and Petco Park (San Diego).

Never been there, but it would be awesome to see and hear the faithful sing You Will Never Walk Alone. It would also be an interesting experience to see a game in Azteca Stadium In Mexico City with over 100,000 fans(there is a moat around the field to keep fans off the pitch) or similar stadiums in Brazil and Argentina.

I saw a game in the Estadio Atahualpa in Quito Ecuador (named after an Inca king). Quito is at very high altitude. Players and refs came on to the field though tunnels, and the fans of the opposing teams were seperated by fences; people were throwing garbage at each other and on the field.

How about a football game at Ann Arbor Michigan or Notre Dame?
It would be cool to see a heavyweight championship fight at MSG, or maybe in Kinshasha (Rumble in the Jungle II).
I missed an opportunity to see a friendly a few years ago in the Olympic Stadium in Berlin between GER and POR. I still regret not going to that game.
This is a cool site:

I've seen two games at U of M. Insane atmosphere. Absolutely insane. Imagine 116,000 people singing the Michigan fight song when the band fires up. Wow.

Is this right?
UL Rouge et Or Quebec City PEPS Stadium 18 500
Maybe QUE could get a CFL team. That stadium would not have to be expanded much to be big enough for the CFL. I did not know it was this big.
Saint Mary's Huskies Halifax Huskies Stadium 9 000
Western Ontario LondonTD Waterhouse Stadium 8 000

As far as stadiums I have been to, Qwest Field in Seattle was great. I have been to Metallica there, but last month, I saw Real Madrid there and it was awesome. You're watching a game, but in the background, you can see the planes coming into Sea-Tac to land.
BC Place is the biggest hole I have ever seen.
As far as places I would like to go, hulkrogan above had it right on, the estadio du luz is awesome. If you don't wanna go based on those pics above, there is something wrong with you. Another one I would love to see is also in Portugal is in Braga and was made for the Euro 2004 tourney(tear...damn you Greece)........anyways, the architechts carved part of a mountain to make this stadium. Here's a pic below, not the best one, but it's still pretty sweet.

Hmmm, I've been to TD Waterhouse Stadium here in London. It doesn't seem that big.

I wanted to make it to Braga during my trip but unfortunately it didn't work out.
Interesting fact: The old Estadio du Luz had a capacity of over 125,000 at one point. The had to remove some seating for safety (it was originally constructed with a capacity of 50,000). The ripped it down for the new one. Not bad for a city of ~500,000!

I've been to a few good arenas/stadiums
Hockey: Bell Center (Mon), and the Correll Center (Ott) were really nice. Continental Airlines Arena (NJ) had great views, even if the concourse wasn't really great. The Igloo is a hole.
Football: Lincoln Financial (Philly), and Heinz Field (Pitt) were both awesome, Giants stadium is a hole.
Rugby- Only been to one good one, Millenium Stadium in Cardiff. Wow, that is one hell of a stadium (I'm sure they use it for soccer as well).

3. Molson Staduim @ McGill was a cool place to watch a football game
2. Pengrowth Saddledome, I was a fan of (but I have a bias)
Far and away #1
1. Fenway Park - I was in awe from the time I saw the building in the distance, until the time I could no longer see it as I walked down Yawkee (sp) Way.
For the record I'm not a Red Sox fan, just a HUGE Fenway fan

NHL: Saddledome, Rexall, St. Pete Times forum (bland looking, steep and waaaay to large)
MLB: Safeco, Tropicana
Minor league baseball: CanWest Global (Winnipeg), Foothills, TELUS Field (nicer looking than Foothills, but the sightlines are terrible), whatever Yakima's ballpark is called.
WHL: Calgary, Cranbrook, Medicine Hat (old, but has atmosphere), Red Deer, Lethbridge (lacks atmosphere), Swift Current (I'd be embarrassed to put a Jr A team there)

There is only about 10,000 seats there, and they are pretty much the whole way around the field. There would have to be a fair amount of work put in to make it anywhere close to a CFL park. Definitely the first place anybody talks about for a 10th CFL team though (after Ottawa comes back of course!)

When Ted Rogers gives me $26 million, I'll start calling it that. Until then, it's Skydome.
