Bummer. Rick Porcello just finished racking up his 13th strikeout when Gardner yanks a pitch down just inside the foul pole. 3-1 Yankees. No luck for Porcello on a brilliant night of pitching with 2 of his 3 runs being unearned.

winning run is coming to the plate for Boston with 1 out in the 8th. Oh, did I mention it's Big Papi?

Edit: wow...one inning too soon. Double steal with Ortiz at the plate. Bogaert's would have been safe at 3rd but Headley pushes his foot off the bag and the umpire calls him out. Super fracking shady stuff going on there.

Brutal, the call stands after review, even though it's clear Headley pushes his foot off the bag. Unbelievable. Ortiz strikes out. Threat over.
