I think fraud is pretty easily made out if company created profiles send out company created e-mail requests so that the guy spends money to e-mail. I think there is an assumption that those woman at least exist.

god look at those prices...this interface reminds me of those evil free to play iOS games where you need to fork over massive cash just to make any progress.

wouldn't $289 spent in a more "traditional" manner get you a far more guaranteed and less fraudulent experience?

If it's one of those sites where you enter your address to search the database, it could very well be a fake site meant to collect valid e-mail addresses for spamming. They will say matched to anything, but in reality it doesn't check. Tons of these popping up taking advantage of the situation.

and if you spend $289 the "traditional way" and they end up getting hacked, no one will ever find out!

The real victims here are the poor men suckered into signing up. I can't believe someone would corrupt something as pure as the idea of paying cash to a 3rd party to facilitate cheating on your spouse and pervert it in such a way. Those guys are just slaves to their baser natures and are without any ability to control themselves, I'm horrified someone would exploit them.

As fun as it is to joke about all of this and how much of a joke AM is/was, there is still a lot of crap going on because of this. Think of the families being torn apart or the people who've committed suicide because this was made public.

Another thing, I wonder if this was a site for closet homosexuals to meet. Since there clearly weren't many women on the site, I wonder if it was a place for men to "experiment" with homosexuality.

I still hope the hackers are brought to justice over this.

Affair guarantee? Wouldn't that be hiring a hooker then?

Not exactly how they could guarantee that. You would think more than a few Americans would have sued them for not getting lucky unless paying that money enables your account to connect the few female accounts that are real but I still don't know how it could guarantee an affair.

Now I'm not a lawyer so it's possible that may not be iron clad but it appears the area where they are open to fraud is where they charged members to close their accounts and erase their activity when they were not erasing anything. I'm pretty sure there will be some charges but it's hard to say if Biderman would do any time.
I think the smoking gun, is the clear collusion by hiring out single individuals, to create multiple profiles though. Yes, there is a chance that someone created a profile with no intent to to use it. However, when people and agencies are being hired, to create the profiles knowingly to simply drive traffic, I believe that shows fraudulent intent. AM has really no control if bored house wife Betty signs up because she is bored with her impotent husband and just wants some afternoon entertainment with no intent to meet. But this was fraud paid for and knowingly committed by the corporation to drive funds to the website.

It would be no different in my eyes than opening a website and taking orders for a product that doesn't even exist, or is in such short supply, you could never fill the orders. But you keep taking the orders and the money anyway. You are then charging a $20 restocking fee to cancel the order, even though you never had the product on hand in the first place.

I am confident there will be charges. The evidence is way too damning with the 'Angel' emails. The hilarious part is to any rational minded individual, angels do not exist, just like the supposed women on this site didn't. I am wondering if that was intentional in the code-naming of these sock puppet profiles.

Difference with Kickstarter, is it is implied the product does not yet exist, and they are raising funds to create it. You know that going in.

400 not a lot really, but my guess is most Pastors are still embracing the classic method of having affairs with women in their church.

Salvation: high demand, low supply.

No Way. Not from that last article I read. Last thing AM wanted was for men to talk to each other. They might compare notes, and the whole house of cards would fall apart.

Why would homosexual men try to contact female users tho? There would be no notes to compare as they would be going after men, who by all accounts, are mostly real.

I mean for homosexual (or closet homosexual) men to "hook up" with straight men.

I don't get it... so with millions of men and only thousands of women was AM simply a sexchat site? Men paid for that? I'm having an affair by sexchating oooooooooh. Did anyone actually meet?

At least on regular dating sites people are real and meet up. I'm sure there are bots too but it can't be 90%.
