....and Bautista throws away the game with a lazy fielding play. He's so suspect out there sometimes.

Can't win them all. We took 5 out of 6 against two top teams, nothing to complain about.

Would it have been uncouth to pinch hot Colabello for Tulu in that situation, considering Tulu is just the DH today?
I would have felt far more comfortable with Cola at bat. But maybe you just never do that to your all star player, even if he's clearly struggling.

At 1-0 they are still very much in it. Giving up 3 runs on such a ridiculously lazy play really hurts. That was pure garbage Jose....

Ball was hit to Jose on the ground, he tried to grab and get it into the infield but he totally missed it, the ball rolled under his glove and towards the fence, all 3 runners score.

We get it, you hate day games. They've been going on for years. There's as many home games in a season as there are total games in an NHL season. One of these is not going to make a dent in their ticket sales.

Yes, for the exact same reason you wouldn't replace a struggling Gaudreau on a late game powerplay with a hot Lance Bouma. Your best players are your best players and they give you the best chance to win.

One interesting thing of note, as of right now the Jays only play 7 games against teams above .500 the rest of the way (all against the Yankees).
7 Vs Baltimore - 63-63
6 Vs Tampa - 62-64
3 Vs Cleveland - 60-66
3 Vs Detroit - 60-67
6 Vs Boston - 58-69
3 Vs Atlanta - 54-73
That doesn't necessarily mean anything as they did split their last 4 against the Phillies (worst team in Baseball) but it's a lot easier to beat teams that don't have as good of talent than teams like the Twins, Royals, Angels, and Rangers.
Plus they only need a 19-16 record in those 35 remaining games (assuming they don't have a 9th inning comeback in them) to get 90 wins. That's not bad. That's only a .543 winning percentage.

6-2 road trip? I'll take it.
Pennington is an awful bat though, thank god he isn't our every day second basemen.

Ugly game. Estrada was great though, offense just couldn't get it going.
Great rid trip overall though, hope the bats come alive at home.

I'm hoping for at least a 5-4 record at home on the next home stand.
Losses happen. Just didn't get any luck today with the bats. They had plenty of opportunities though and that's a good thing.

Listening to Zaun and I have to agree....Revere needs to move to lead off and drop Tulo to the 5 spot after he has shown for a month now that he just isn't comfortable with AL pitching yet hitting 225. BR is hitting over 300 in comparison..

what can you do, the NHL doesn't play everyday.
The schedule has been made for a year, it's the team's job to get the fans out. Lots of schools set up field trips to afternoon ball games. It;s just too damn hot in Taxes to take 8 year olds to the game.
The Giants drew 41,000 for their afternoon game today
