Prowse's voice after ADR presumably would have sounded better than the dialogue from under the helmet in those clips. Still, it's impossible to imagine Vader without James Earl Jones' voice at this point.
Either way, it would suck to be an actor, have a prominent role in one of, if not the greatest film franchise ever, and then have your performance pretty much erased. No one has any idea who Prowse is and he played one of the greatest villains ever. That would tick me off too, even if the end product was miles better.
James Earl Jones is doing Vader in the animated series now too.

Well he played a lot of the role, especially in the first 2 films but Bob Anderson I think did most of the action scenes with Vader

Wow thanks for that CC I had no idea about the whole voice over thing, never crossed my mind. It obviously makes sense now though and I can't believe I didn't think about it before.
The one thing I've always noticed about Vader besides his voice, is his walk. He just has this commanding, intimidating walk that is unmistakable. So I guess credit for that goes to Prowse.
And as I told the story from Disneyland before where I saw Vader.. whoever was wearing the costume that day must have studied that walk as well because when he came flying around that corner my fricken heart stopped. I know it sounds super geeky and lame but it was like a holy #### butterflies in my stomach type moment. It was like Man, it's Darth Vader!!! Can't wait for Star Wars Land.

There was one scene cut from Revenge of the Sith where they showed Anakin striding through the Jedi Temple, and it took place after the Opera House scene where his fall really started to take shape. Anyways I wish I could find the clip because it was just the stride and Hayden captured it perfectly and you could feel the menace and anger rolling off of him just with that walk, and it was that moment when I saw the clip that I thought not that Vader was a pathetic whiny teen trapped by bad decisions, but this was a man that had made a decision and had a sense of dark purpose.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

I still really wish that they would have showed some of the massacre of the younglings...

Interesting, I'd be curious to see the cut scene. I consider the prequels such an abysmal failure because at no point in time did I ever think they pulled off the transition from Anakin to Darth Vader with any level of depth or weight. I mean, that was the real story arch of Star Wars as a whole -- the transition of Anakin from the light to dark side. And it was put together so poorly. It was such a great opportunity to tell a great character story and they messed up as bad as I've ever seen anything messed up.
Those movies really need to be struck from the record.

Massive spoilers in the latest mini trailer. Rumour is its going to coming with the toys soon so they can't keep it under wraps. Hint, racist Star Wars fans that were mad about a black guy wearing a storm trooper outfit are going to get even angrier.

I agree with you except for one small instance. The scene where Anakin is burning and mutilated screaming "I hate you!" to Obi Wan was really the only moment I felt the transition into Vader. Revenge of the Sith has some really good moments that just get butchered by terrible dialogue.
