I'll probably be on again in 6 hours but have to finish my Nightfalls and Weeklies. I've really fallen off with bothering to finish them at this point.

Thanks. Just the struggle of Bungie's matchmaking when playing 6's. I've grown immune to the pain of losing though unless it's really close.

I broke down and bought the digital collectors edition so I could get rid of having the disk in the PS4 all the time. Livestream at noon today of the new strike.

I'm going to avoid watching this I think. When the game comes out, I'm guessing I'm going to see the new strike plenty. Didn't take me too long to get sick of Omnigul's shriek lol.
Man I was considering not participating in Iron Banner at all this week, but then stupid Lord Salad HAD to be selling a Felwinter's with Shot Package...ugh. Kneepads is a nice perk as well.

Anyone bothering with Iron Banner this week?
I'm bored so I'm running it. Pretty disappointed that they're selling the helmet again this week, rather than gauntlets though.
Hoping Silimar's wrath (sp?) ends up being effective after the 2.0 patch, as its stats look pretty week.
After only a few rounds, I finally had Party Crasher +1 drop with shot package and final round. Best rng luck I've had in a while...rewarded for finishing like 2000 points above anyone on my team in a loss.

Played on all 3 characters for the bounties last night and thought about who I need to grind for this morning. Realized that it doesn't matter with the upcoming new content so that was a huge load off my back. I might play but only if I've got a couple of other friends in the group with me.

I'm doing IB again this week just because of the Felwinter. I don't even know what's going to happen with IB weapons, though. I guess there will just be a new version of Felwinter in Taken King? I don't even know if there's a point to getting it at all really, but whatevs, I guess.

With the taken king coming out shortly is there going to be any benefit to playing through with a new character? I have just started playing through destiny and I am lvl 15 now. Just curious if I should continue to level my guy or just hang off grinding till the new content comes out.

Keep playing.
The "starting" level for the taken king looks like 25, but bungie is giving everyone a consumable which will automatically boost a character to 25, which you could use to jumpstart a new class.
The grind to 20 isn't too bad anyway...it's when you start getting over 20 that the grind becomes real...by the time the dlc drops, you'll probably be around there, so when the leveling system changes, you can skip grinding for gear to get to higher levels like year 1.

Not only mention there's a lot of stuff you'll still want to be able to access by doing all the story missions.

And you'll want to hear Dinklage's take on the Ghost before they switch over to Nathan Drake. Also, you're just grinding out your first character. You'll have another two characters that will need to be run through eventually as well.

Well that's the dark underbelly of Destiny, I have 3 Titans, not because I want 3 Titans but because that's what it took to actually get decent gear. Luckily they seemed to have fixed that a bit in TTK now I might delete one of those titans and make a different toon . . . . maybe.

Raids drop loot once per week per toon so kill a boss he drops crap thats what you get until next week.
