Or maybe sift through the last 2, possibly 3 posts.

I have read every update on the original thread since inception (January 2013?). I can't believe it is finally announcement day. So pumped for my boxed lunch and the presentation in 1.5 hours!

The image is looking towards the west. South of the stadium is the C-Train track (you can see the Sunalta station poking out from behind one of the buildings).
If you mean the bridge in the foreground, that's 14th St. The bridge in the background is Crowchild.
If it helps orient you, at the bottom of the photo, you can see the Staples on 9th Ave, the Mewata Armoury, and the dome of the Planetarium.
In that picture, the arena and stadium are sitting where GSL Chev-City and the Greyhound Station currently stand.

I bet Bruce has lots of the facts, just was not allowed to release them.
What facts did you hear on the Radio?

I keep getting spun around too. My understanding is that this is a view from the NE at this rendering. Or a view you might get floating above the 10th Street Bridge looking west?
Due to the Staples on the bottom left, that's 9th ave sticking out?
Bow Trail is the roads closest to the river (minus memorial across the river)?
14th street bridge is the one closest to us and the far away one is Crowchild?
Most of the tall structures don't actually exist. Sans perhaps the green topped one on the bottom which I think might be Discovery Pointe? The red thing on the bottom is Mewata Armory?

How come Muta doesn't get the honour of starting the new thread? Seems like he deserves it more than anyone.

No this is west of Eau Claire and past 14th street. Basically where the Greyhound bus depot is.

That building might be a few minute walk to Sunalta station as far as I can tell. Should be much less of a walk to the LRT stations from the current Saddledome.
With that volume from events though, I wonder if a Sunalta2 or an increase in size of the station would be necessary.
I think that yellow dot in the map pic is the station actually.

Really? I think it's almost directly adjacent to the Sunalta station. It's that tube-like structure directly to the left of the arena, between it and the tall buildings there.
Edit: the yellow dot on the second picture is a shopping icon... probably Sentry Box. The station is down and to the left from there, where you see a pedestrian bridge over bow-trail east-bound.

Even with underground parking, there doesn't seem to be a host of outlets to enter/exit the site. What do you guys think the traffic to come and go for an event will be like?
