Ridiculous stat of the morning:
Of the last 12 games, the Jays have been leading in 76 innings and trailing in 7.

I've left a ticketmaster window open with the seating map for much of the morning. Blue dots are vanishing rapidly. I think the Jays are going to be in the 40-42k range tonight.

another fun MLB stat: there were 15 games played last night, the home team won all of them. This has never happened before.

Last night’s #BlueJays game was most-watched #Jays broadcast in @Sportsnet’s history. Average audience: 1.44 million.

More than the Yankee games on the weekend? Bizarre.
I guess Tuesday night is TV night.

To put that number into perspective, there are only a few teams that could generate an audience of 440,000 - never mind the extra million

That's incredible. Have any US media outlets picked up on just how massive the audiences have been up here, or is it likely off the radar down there?
I know they have a vested interest in not spending too much time on the Jays (virtually no viewer fanbase down there), but you'd think ratings this exuberantly high would be worthy of a story just for baseball fans in general.

"Attendance will top 40k tonight." Also read on twitter that Thursday's matinee until Sunday's Finale against the Yankees are soldout games at the Skydome. Blue Jays Fever is back in 2015 and as a long time suffering fan, I hope that Rogers sees this and decides that Jays fans will absolutely come to the ballpark if they keep on fielding a winning product.

Au contraire, the MLB network has been talking about them non-stop over the past 2 weeks. They seem to be the new darlings of the baseball world.
That being said, I rarely see coverage of how many fans watch any team, let alone MLB teams, let alone the Jays.

If I'm the Jays/AA, I go to Price and say: "look, we get that you want to test free agency - why wouldn't you? But why not consider signing for 2 years with us - we'll pay you market - and be part of what we believe will be something special. Donaldson, Tulo, Bautista and EE (for at least one year), Stroman, Sanchez, Estrada, Osuna, among others will all be here. And we will be committed to free agency in order to build a winner. After 2 years, you'll only be 27 and free agency will still be there for you."

Price can sign long term for a ton of money, or he can sign short term and being one major injury short of losing all of it. The reaction to his acquisition and the excitement in Toronto and all Canada may well give us a big chance at keeping him, but to do so, we're going to have to shatter the team record for biggest contract.

If we sign Price it will be for a minimum 7 years $210m IMO, the same type of deal Scherzer got with the Nats and Kershaw got with LA. Price might not be quite as good as those two but it's close, so I can't see Price accepting less from the Jays. No way it will be a short term deal at any rate.

Done. No Hitter. Iwakuma.
It's a 2 horse race for the East now. O's were done on Sunday when they idiotically intentionally walked the bases loaded.

I know the Jays said they swapped Dickey and Buherle to give the latter a rest, but I think they swapped them to make sure Dickey gets another start against New York. Especially after the Yankees manager lamented how the knuckleballers screwed up his team's timing.
