Once still from a Korean trailer has given the Internet more excitement than the Fantastic Four reboot.

If I were to guess, that still will be the end shot of the movie, a very Empire Strikes Back type ending where nothing is resolved and the bad guys are in control. The Empire Rebuilt if you will.

Or it could be the whole "Get em ma" moment with zanny music where all of those ships, walkers and soldiers go chasing after one rebel in high speed with a benny hill sound track.

Or it could be your worst nightmare... Empire getting ready to attack and one new Jedi shows up and wipes them all out with one wave of his hand...

Oh and he will bring a star crashing down on the planet afterwards too, just to make sure the empire is finished

The Sith evolved and learned everything they could about how to beat the Jedi and how to consolidate their power. The Jedi didn't evolve. Sidious destroyed the Jedi by turning their arrogance against them. They didn't see anything that Palpatine did.

The D23 Disney fan expo has been taking place in Anaheim this week, and there have been a lot of Star Wars announcements during the event.

-------------------[===)

The poster for Episode VII was revealed...

-------------------[===)

The cast for the new Rogue One spin-off film has been announced: http://www.starwars.com/news/rogue-o...crew-announced

Quote:
The filmmakers have assembled a stellar cast, including Felicity Jones, nominated for an Academy Award for her leading role in The Theory of Everything; Diego Luna, who was featured in 2008’s Oscar-winning Milk and the critically acclaimed Killing Them Softly; Ben Mendelsohn, recently nominated for an Emmy for his leading role in Bloodline and co-starring in the upcoming Mississippi Grind; Donnie Yen, Hong Kong action star and martial artist who starred in Ip Man and Blade II; Jiang Wen, who co-wrote, produced , directed and starred in the award-winning Let the Bullets Fly and Devils on the Doorstep; Forest Whitaker, recently featured in the critically-acclaimed Lee Daniels’ The Butler and winner of an Academy Award for his leading role in 2006’s The Last King of Scotland; Mads Mikkelsen, who starred in The Hunt and was the memorable villain from 2006’s Casino Royale; Alan Tudyk, who plays a performance-capture character in Rogue One, stars in the soon-to-be-released Con Man series and Trumbo, which releases this November; and Riz Ahmed, who was recently featured in Nightcrawler and starred in the BAFTA-winning film Four Lions.
This will be a stand-alone film set during the time prior to Episode IV. It is set for release in December 2016.

-------------------[===)

Jurrassic World director, Colin Trevorrow, will direct Episode IX, due out in 2019: http://www.starwars.com/news/colin-t...ars-episode-ix

-------------------[===)

Disney also announced that they will be adding a new 14 acre Star Wars themed land to both the Hollywood Studios Park at Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland Park in California: http://www.starwars.com/news/star-wa...o-disney-parks

Quote:
“I am thrilled to announce the next chapter in the long and exciting history between Disney Parks and Star Wars,” said Iger. “Through each new attraction and new land we create, we push the boundaries of what is possible. And as you can imagine, with Star Wars, we are taking that to a whole new level, with a whole galaxy to explore.”

These authentic lands will have two signature attractions, including the ability to take the controls of one of the most recognizable ships in the galaxy, the Millennium Falcon, on a customized secret mission, and an epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle.
Disney is also scheduled to update the existing Star Tour attraction (which was updated only a few years ago to allow for multiple destinations) to incorporate new locations from the new sequels.

-------------------[===)

Also, this week's Entertainment Weekly is their Fall Movie Preview issue, which features numerous new photos and stories about Episode VII: http://www.ew.com/movie-previews

I don't believe that's the official poster. I think it's a D23 exclusive

Very excited to have Donnie join the Star Wars universe. Incredibly talented martial artist, and a very good actor as well. It's hard to tell in that picture, but it almost looks as if the character he plays is blind.

Hopefuly he has the voice to pull this off, what made Vader great was James Earl Jones.

This would have sunk Star Wars completely
