I have a closet with a number of jerseys that have players no longer with the team. So, when it came time for a new shiny one, this is what I did. I chose a home jersey. Put my own name on it, the last 2 numbers of my birth year and a "C" on my chest....because I can be captain if I want to be  The team won't trade me anytime soon so there's relevance for years to come.

Not sure if anyone has shopped at a store in Calgary called Savvy Clothing on 14 street SW.
I saw this hat there the other day and it appears to be the same brand as the one discussed in the thread. Perhaps we can coordinate a group buy if the store can get some also while supporting a local merchant?? Or even this retro design looks cool in my opinion.

I managed to find a Retro jersey yesterday, here in Newfoundland.
Im really tore on who's name and number to have put on it. I know some folks dislike seeing the young guys names on the 80's style Jerseys. But heck, they're still my favourite jersey yet.
I've gotten it narrowed down to Monahan, Gaudreau and Bennett.
Leaning more towards Monahan. Future captain of the organization.
But Johnny Hockey tho... wow.
I just don't know!!!

I don't think people mind young guys on the jersey if they've worn it before. Monahan and Guadreau have both worn the retro so that would be fine. Bennett has yet to don that beautiful thing though

Thanks for the heads up on those hats, shipped them to one of my companies branches in the US to get around it
