Exactly.

And if they manage the rotation well, utilizing off days to minimize Hutchison's road starts, they should be teed up very nicely.

As bad as the Jays pitching has been this year, I think they are clearly ahead of the Yankees with respect to starting rotations going forward. And I don't think there is a gap in the bullpens anymore either.

In fact, Toronto's team ERA is now 3.94 and New York's is 4.01.

I fully expect that gap to widen going forward.

The 13 games we have against the Yanks in the next few weeks are going to be HUGE

They were just saying on 960 that the report of him throwing off a mound today was false - talking about doing so some time next week.

So what are peoples thoughts on a successful Jays season now?

- Re-sign Price
- Get wildcard spot
- Make it to the ALDS
- Make it to the ALCS
- Win ALCS
- Win World Series

---

For me, this year it would be ALDS

I would agree. And to add, fans show the support a winner would get and Rogers realizes they can spend an extra 50 million and put a winner out, and make it back easily and we start a new cycle for the Jays.

These television ratings aren't making them that money back easy

Probably due for a couple nights off anyways so do it now, and avoid losing him when you need him more. Still an utter joke.

If they play well down the stretch and can host the wildcard game, I would consider that a success regardless of how the play-in goes.. If they finish #2 for the WC, a success would be to win that game. Any trip to the ALDS regardless of how they get their would be a huge success.

I don't think an appearance in the wildcard game is enough.

They need at least a full playoff series. Winning a series would be a success IMO.

God is Hutchinson terrible.

Hopefully he can pull the same rabbit out of his hat that he did last time out.
