I am starved for this type of material at this point of the summer. I love the expectations of this team are to be back in the playoffs and the talking heads agree it is very achievable. Trading Iggy I thought best case scenario was this year would be the first where we were not expected to get a top 3 pick. Amazing how well the rebuild has gone thus far
hey look.....TSN blacked out in the USA again. what the? Not sure why sportsnet clips work but not TSN. Lame.
Because they show ads that are paid for by Canadian companies and don't want to give away free content to Americans who can't subscribe to their cable package or purchase the advertised products in Canada.
Get an proxy. Geez, it's 2015, this isn't brain surgery you guys

Video doesn't work outside of Canada. Cliff notes?
Some one got the Monahan video already, but here's the other one
-Calgary Flames the big Cinderella story last season, despite some people claiming it was Ottawa
-Despite what 'fancy' stats people say, look at the young players emerging, this is a team that's very deep team on defense, might be strongest D in the league, combined with young studs up front and the work ethic, not likely to fall back.
-Believe the Flames are for real and a playoff team this year
-Team moving in great direction
-Calls the Hamiltan trade a 'super-trade' that could define the franchise
-Hamiltan ready to become 'the' guy on a team that already has the best defenseman in the league.
-Factor in how much of the load Dougie will take off other defensemen

In other news, Sportsnet has gone off the deep end with Blue Jays coverage...
This was arguably the biggest week for the bluejays in the last 22 years. I get that some FOI posters likely aren't baseball fans, but in the baseball world the Jays just picked up two absolute all stars that literally translated to tens of thousands of tickets sold per game, immediately.
Despite their current standings position this has the entire baseball world buzzing, let alone the Canadian baseball world. So it's not surprising to see that.

I agree for once with Simmons that regression won't be the the issue for the Flames this year. Treliving has added the exact pieces to an already solid roster to prevent that from happening. Of course once can never guarantee the success of Hamilton and Frolik with the Flames but the probability of their success is greater than that of failure.
I think Goaltending is going to be just fine and dandy and it won't be Ramo or Hiller providing the majority of the workload. I truly believe that Ortio is going to break out in a big time way next season.
Just need Bennett and Ferland and a couple of other up and coming players to do what Monny and Gaudreau did with Huds last year and this team is easily #1 in the West.

As you say, it's 2015. So TSN could feed ads based on location, right? Not exactly rocket science, either.
