No word yet. Rosenthal saying the teams are reviewing medicals.
This one might be expensive. Under control for three more years. Might be a roster player.

Guess they can move Sanchez up, but would be nice to add a legit #2 or #3 starter to solidify.
Do like '92 with Cone and pick up another arm in a month if required/possible.

Semi-expensive. Revere is good but he's basically Rajai Davis with slightly better defense (which is an upgrade on the Valencia/Colabello/Carrera rotation we've been throwing out there). Slightly better then Rajai Davis shouldn't be flat out expensive.
Thought I heard someone say Smoral (which I wouldn't like since I think he'll be a guy) but take that with a giant enormous grain of salt.
Edit. Speaking of Carrera I wouldn't be surprised if he was heading out as part of the deal... he'll be DFA'd otherwise.

Anyone else starting to get that sick feeling that they're actually doing too much?
It's going to be like spring training in the dugout: 'hi, I'm Ben". "Hey Ben, Dave" "Mark"
"Hey guys, I'm Troy" "and I'm LaTroy"
Well, that's confusing"

Amazing what can happen in less than a year and a half.

That's basically WAMCO quality. If the pitching additions add up...

Why is everyone so set on hitting Revere lead off? I'd rather give the extra at bats to Tulowitzki myself.

I'd rather give him an opportunity to drive in runs further down the lineup. Some big first innings could be really disheartening for the opposition. Also gives you an opportunity to knock starters out earlier.

Outside of Guzman and Ward the 93 Jays pitching wasn't all that great either.
Yes the bats are probably the equal (if not better) then the WAMCO line-up... but man was Olerud ever a beast that year.

Hearing the Phillies will get pair of pitchers, Jimmy Cordero and Alberto Tirado, for Ben Revere in TOR deal

I would actually like to see Revere hit 2nd - perfect contact hitter. Problem is: who else is better to bat 1st? Martin?
Martin
Revere
Donaldson
Bautista
Tulo
EE
Might as well just start with Revere and put Martin 9th

Revere shouldn't hit leadoff (not enough OBP)... but neither should Tulo (Want his power behind guys that get on base). Revere should be a 7-8-9 guy, Tulo a 5-6 guy.

Yeah, but also frustrating - when you really needed the big hit, he seemed to come up short. Not unlike EE, IMO.

Jays have dumped Dubront to the A's for cash.
Think AA's done? For some reason, though now bumping up to the deadline, I think there's one more deal (however small) left.
So far, since early in the week as far as the main roster goes,
Loss:
Reyes
Add:
Tulo
Hawkins
Price
Lowe
Revere

So with these deals today did the Jays give up any important prospects?

I think Tirado's the only one who's half decent. But others may be able to weigh in who are more familiar.

Revere is not a 7-8-9 guy.
I think it's a pretty safe bet he hits 1st or 2nd (once they get things ironed out)
