Yeah, but considering that he doesn't induce a lot of pop-ups I'll chaulk up his low number of jacks to Safeco/West Division/natural volitility of relievers. He's not bad... lot of velo in that arm and he can strike guys out... I just wouldn't think of him as a guy that's gonna keep the ball out of the park. So long as it's mostly C grade guys it's a good pick-up.

So far: Wells and Jake Brentz... still waiting on the last name... so far nobody the Jays will miss.

Jays have added 2 good RP, a #1 starter, and the best SS in MLB.
If we can add a LF now, that's an absolute A++ as far addressing every single need and then some.

The #Mariners have acquired LHPs Rob Rasmussen, Jake Brentz & Nick Wells from Toronto for RHP Mark Lowe.

Ben Revere will be traded to Blue Jays. @JSalisburyCSN first had Totonto's interest in Revere.

If and when the Jays acquire Revere, he is under control for another three years.

Geeze, the Jays are making moves like crazy. Would be amazing if it could all come together for them.

Players w/ a .290 BA each of last 4 seasons: Revere, Posey, McCutchen, M. Cabrera (min. 300 PA)

on pace for 40 steals, doesnt strike out

great for top of the order

What's the story on Revere? He seems like a nice player, why are the Phillies giving him up?

That's just filthy. I would almost swap Smoak in for colabello however.

Okay, they're set.

The one single weakness remaining is the rotation but Price obviously helps a ton.

If they don't make playoffs with this roster, they clearly never will.

I'd say "Ok" for top of the order. Revere may not strike out much but he doesn't walk much either. When Travis is healthy I'd rather he be the leadoff hitter since he has a better OBP and doubles power (easier for Donaldson/Bautista/EE to knock him home). Put Revere in front of Pillar (#8 spot) so that he can use his speed to break up DP's and leg out first to third.

Travis
Donaldson
Bautista
EE
Tulo
Martin
Colabello/Smoak/Valencia
Revere

Pillar

That's how I'd roll the batting order.

From the stats site I saw, Revere seems to have played his time with the Phils at 7/8/9 batting spots, same with the Twins before that. Depends how long Travis is out.
