I heard somebody say that yesterday, that the Russians shot down MH17 so they could thrown the parts in the Indian Ocean. Hell of a plotline for a Michael Bay film.

That article says what we already know, that the part is from a 777, but we have yet to get confirmation that it is a part from MH370 specifically (I know the odds are pretty high now that it is).

I'd really like that confirmation though.

Pretty much. When the claim of a found window was downgraded to found window material I pretty much assume they found a piece of clear plastic garbage.

I dunno. It's from a 777. In the right spot. With matching maintenance seals.

It might not be 100% certain beyond any shred of doubt, but I'm not going to blame the Malaysian government for wanting to put some closure on this and start narrowing in on the search. It's far more likely that it is from MH370 then any other possible scenario.
