Well a decent start from Buehrle will end in a No Decision. Nelson Cruz 2 run HR to tie it in the 7th.

Another .500 season with no playoffs seems inevitable.

I wish they'd DFA Loup and bring someone, anyone else up.

This has been the story since the mid 90's. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah, back in I think 2009 they got in a position where they had like 4 meaningful games with Boston in September...in which they basically proceeded to lose 3 out of 4 and fall too far out of the Wild Card to be any type of factor.
They tend to either be 500 going into September and have a decent month to get to 86-76....or just keep on sucking. Either way they're pretty much eliminated before September every single year.

4 constants in this universe. You're born, you die, you pay taxes and the Toronto Blue Jays will finish with 67-88 wins.

is there a more frustrating sports team to be a fan of? they win 11 in a row to get everyone excited and then just play average (at best) for the rest of the season

They have the one of, if not the worst pitching rotation in the league, and a minor league bullpen, expecting anything more then .500 is not very realistic. Good pitching always beats good hitting, especially in the play offs. And although they have improved this season over last years on the defensive side, they still make too many mental errors, yesterdays triple play is the most recent prime example there.

Even if it isn't his fault how did they not Fire Gibbons and at least try a new manager.
AA's loyalty to him will cost him his job at seasons end in all likelihood
