Yeah but there won't be a 2-16 team in the Western Conference to beat up on like the Cats had last year and 9-9 may not be enough to get a playoff game in the West as they will have to be better than the Bombers, Lions, Stamps, and Eskimos. Much taller task than passing the Redblacks, Argos, and Als who were all mediocre/bad teams last season.

If Saskatchewan's bad luck continues it will be very interesting to see what happens with their fan base. A lot of people here in Saskatoon say that they've already tuned out and stopped watching this season.
CFL's best fans, eh?

Edit: Eskimos next week, that's the next best thing. If the defence can't get up (looking at you John Chick to finally make a play) for a long time rival then the season may as well be done. Although if Glenn is out then it might not matter if the D finally shows up.

Lol. Maybe against the Stamps the Riders have a chance. After the beating Edmonton just gave Winnipeg, however, I'm assuming Saskatchewan will be 0-6 after next weekend.

What's the over-under on the points the Riders will score against that Edmonton defence? If Glenn can't go, the Esks could be pitching a (substitute that word you're apparently not supposed to say in case you jinx it). I hate the Riders and don't feel sorry for them at all.

No disagreement on my end. My point was simply that a rivalry game might give them the extra little motivation they need, as sad as that sounds.

Esks open as 10.5 pt favorites. I suspect that # will grow by game time.

Holy crap. On rider fans they're actually comparing the Riders to the Yankees.
####ing amazing. I can't wait for them to stink again and need wheat donations to save their club. Total ass hats.

Whats the threshold for stink? Is it one season? Two? Going 0 for the first 8 games of a season?

What's funny is the Riders are the inverse of the Yankees as their four Grey Cup wins are the fewest of all CFL teams.

It should also be noted that the Riders are 2-11 since a Labour Day win last year, plus a loss in the playoffs.
Maybe they meant they are like the New York Jets?

It's too bad this was the game ESPN chose to show last night on TV. I like that ESPN shows games, but it was as snoozer until the 4th.
I'm interested in CFL viewership in the States. Maybe that Highwayman18 or whatever can get that info. Seems like he's in the know.
