I've been thinking this all along. Sean doesn't strike me as a captain.. He captained his junior team but seems quiet and passive. He's a good player but I think he lacks some of the requirements of a leader. Sam bennett on the other hand doesn't seem shy, quiet, passive or anything like that. Strikes me as a natural leader. Brodie would be a good shout as well for future captain.

Without fully seeing them on a day to day basis and how they are in the locker room, practise, etc I think it's difficult to say. I know Hartley and Co would make the right choice though.

Monahan - seems like a good quiet leader but I don't see him as overly vocal. I know this isn't a requirement but I kind of prefer a Captain that can lead in that type of way as well.

Bennett - obviously his drive and focus and determination I think would be contagious and I could see him being a bit more vocal. He seems like he could be a good choice.

Brodie - Not sure why but I see him more as an assistant. I honestly don't know his character a great deal so it's hard to say. Seems like a great guy but doesn't strike me as Captain material.

Gaudreau - Not captain material lol. Hearing everyone talk about how he needs to be taken care of the most I don't think his ready for Captain duty yet lol.

Have to say Bennett would be my front runner with Monahan second but obviously it all depends on timing. If Gio was traded this summer it would make no sense to make Bennett captain. So ya time should tell who really separates themselves from the pack.
