The other two guys probably just want one-way contracts.

Jooris' qualifying offer had to be a 1way deal due to playing 60+ games or something of that sort.

He'll probably get something right in the middle around the walk away mark.
This is a player that has probably flown under the radar more than any player in the league.

6'1" 202 lb Center with 4 full seasons of experience and still only 25. Has scored more than 20 goals the last 2 seasons. He's a prime candidate for an offer sheet since he's on Nashville.

So presumably if Bouma gets to his hearing we'll hear filing numbers sometime on Monday?

@TimWharnsby: In #Flames arbitration case against Lance Bouma, club offers $1.5M, player requests $2.5M.

I have no problem with meeting in the middle at 2.0 on a 1 year deal, but if i were the Flames i'd offer 3 years @ 1.75per

I'm sure they'll work out something for three years in the $2 million range.

I actually thought Bouma would be asking for more. I don't think his request is that bad considering what some players are getting these days.

Im ok with a 2 mill 3 or 4 yr deal on Bouma. He is much more valuable to the team than a guy like Jones @ 4 mill per. Assuming Bouma keeps up the points which I think he actually will improve on.
Get the tar and feathers ready.

That's just the AAV. I suspect the term is the big holdup. Flames would like another "show me" contract and Bouma is looking for security (important for him considering the style of game he plays).

Any word on if the Flames have asked for 1 year or 2 years in the ruling? Or would that not be known until Wednesday at the hearing?

No, that's not how arbitration works. Bouma's number is for one year or two years, the Flames get to make the term request as the party taken to arbitration. The arbitrator can't decide on a term.

Love Bouma and $2 million/per sounds like a fair deal. I believe the Flames are looking for short term. That could always backfire if he overperforms the contract but the Flames cap situation 2 and 3 years from now is very different than it is today.

Bouma on a 3yr deal @ 2.0M would be great. Hope this doesn't actually go to arbitration
Split the difference Bouma/Treliving!

I believe he'll still be an RFA at the end of a one-year deal, but would be a UFA at the end of a two-year deal, so I suspect they'll ask for one year.
