Heard seems to be a Tousignant type player. I believe they even had a scrap last year. I assume this means Tousignant won't be back next year.
Drury is under the impression Tousignant had a 2 year deal. But I have my doubts since he doesn't appear on Stockton's website. But Heard is a borderline AHL player, Tousignant is much better.
Maybe this was discussed elsewhere and I missed it, but how do they handle penalties during the 3-on-3 overtime? I assume it becomes 3-on-2, but what if the penalized team takes a second penalty? Maybe play 3-on-2 for 4 minutes instead of 2, but what if the first penalty was during the last 2 minutes of overtime and the same team takes a second penalty - a penalty shot?

A team cannot have fewer than 3 players on the ice. A PP would be 4 on 3 and a 2 man advantage would be 5 on 3.

I think it i safe to add Granlund at this point in time.
Yeah, I can see Granlund ending up in Stockton to start if nothing changes. If nothing changes, there are a few guys I can see ending up in Stockton. There are 17 forwards under contract that I don't have listed here.
I am really excited abouy this coming season for the Heat. I wonder how good the cameras are in the Stockton arena, I don't want to pay for a poor feed.

Those cameras in Adirondack were crap. The audio was bad too. You could barely read the jersey numbers.
Like you, I'm really hoping Stockton has good quality because that team's going to be really fun to watch.
Although I kind hope we get the Thunder PBP guy, he seems to be really into it and his whole "Do you smell what Larocque is cooking" line when Mario Larocque scored from the point had me chuckling.
(7) Seven are rookies: Klimchuk, Smith, Carroll, Marcotte, Morrison, Kanzig, Gillies
(8) Eight are sophomores: Hathaway, Poirier, Agostino, Arnold, Van Brabant, Poirier, Culkin, Kulak
Plus, Sieloff is basically just a second year guy, as he missed pretty much a whole season, and Nakladal will be playing his first season in North America.
That is a very inexperienced team.
Hopefully we take that into consideration when we formulate our expectations for the Stockton Heat this season.
