As much as I would love to see someone achieve the Grand Slam it would be awesome to see an amateur, Dunne, win The Open.

Are they going to try and get any of the final round started today? Looks like Johnson and Willet will be done in a couple hours and there should still be a couple hours of daylight left.

Nope...and it has a bunch of golfers quite upset. Strange decisions by the R&A yesterday.
Pulling for Spieth to win and set up a terrific story heading into the PGA. Beyond that though it would be awesome to see Jason Day win this thing as well with all he has been battling. Cant imagine playing that game at that level while feeling like you are going to fall down at any moment.

To do all 36 today they needed to go threesomes off both tees for both rounds and rain was forecast as well so they played it safe. The +10 shots from the lead cut got 80 guys in this week.

An amateur dressed up like the guy going for the grand slam too!
It can't be good for the Canadian open for this to go all day Monday. It seem like a good decision to have them play the final round in one day vs splitting it up over 2 days though.

There's no 10 shot rule. It was top 70 and ties.
They were also saying going off 1 and 10 doesn't work well the way 1 and 10 cross each other.

I know these are fightin words, but Scott's putter is just so ridiculous. Can't wait for that thing to be illegal

Wonder how he felt when he actually finished +3

Lots of low scores again early but the weather is now getting worse. Should be a very interesting round to see all the jockeying for position.

Not sure what happened to Johnson. Completely falling apart now. Was the best player in the field through 36.
It would be easy to guess that Dunne struggles today under the pressure, but I hope not.
There are a number of players I would love to see win starting with Day, but Speith or Dunne would be pretty historic. Not a sergio hater like others and wouldn't mind seeing him finally get one.
Scott, harrington, or oosthuizen would be kinda meh.

Dunne looked just a touch nervous as he chunks his opening approach and is lucky for it to not get in the burn. Then he hits three tee shots off 2 and is either laying 2 or 6 depending if he can find his first. Gonna be a long day for him.
Spieth birdies 1, Harrington birdies 1 and 2 but Oosthuizen to the front with a birdie at 1.

Wow, Dunne hitting two provisionals on 2, though it sounds like the first provisional is in play.

It appears his very first ball landed on the 18th green of the new course, and he gets free relief. If he can steal a bogey out of this and calm down he can still be in this. Very lucky break.

Zach Johnson making a run now, -4 thru 7 and he's tied for the lead. Adam Scott also to to the lead and it's probably a race to -16 at least to win.

I would like to cut Scotts putter down to regular size with a hacksaw. Man, I have some weird hatred of those things.

Barring a disaster off the tee it looks like Zach Johnson might not only win but set the major scoring record too. -7 thru 12 and making almost every putt.

The problem is the front 9 and back 9 are completely different courses- anything under par on the back is good.

What a disaster for Adam "Long Putter" Scott blowing an 18 inch putt.
