Big thanks ac..
Hartley always talked about how jooris smells blood. Well this guy does too as I had to wait for the replay half the time to see what happened. And when he delays his wrister.. Money!

I forgot about the chemistry him and Colborne had early in the year. I wonder if they'll ever have a chance to find that again!
Thanks for making the vid, I love watching these.

if you're of the mind that hudler should be skating with bennett for the sake of tutelage, then colborne would be my choice to play with johnny and monahan.

Crap, watching that video makes me want the hockey season to start now!
Monahan's shot is so deceptive and accurate.
And Giordano is a huge catalyst to Calgary's offence... Get him signed!

Wow!
Many forget that Monny was on a great pace (50pts) before spending less than half the year on the "top line".
He made jooris, colborne, Glencross and jones a lot better. Showed good chemistry with everyone he played with. I am more impressed with Monahan than Johny this season. His improvements in all areas were extreme.
In his prime, I won't be surprised to see 50g 100pts, especially when you think about the fact that scoring was low this year, he is 20, and the Flames offensive system and defensemen.
Overall, I couldn't be happier!!

Great video AC. Thanks so much.
Like others, this got me craving October. The highlights will just keep rolling I'm sure! One of the biggest differences between Mony year#1 and Mony year#2 was his size / strength! I wonder if he adds to that even a bit in year#3 and just flat-out starts pushing guys around?
Some other things that stuck out:
- Colborne did look good in a lot of those highlights. Hopefully he can continue to progress as well
- 31 goals is a ####-load of goals!
- "Spidy" sense as others have mentioned. Just knows where to go and often the puck is in the net before anyone else even knows it was on his stick.
- How many times did they announce, "Monahan with the OT Winner!". I know we all made a big deal of it as he wracked-up the game winners...but it IS a big deal. Dude can single-handedly finish off oppenents.
- Hudler. Gaudreau. They're good too! ;-)

I love his shot. It's not a bomb and he doesn't get as much flex as someone like Kessel or Kovalchuk does. But it's so damn accurate. I don't think I can recall him ever doing a slap shot either. But dat wrister...always placed so perfectly every time.
Very steadily he is on his way to becoming our #1 franchise C. And he's only 20.

So easy to forget his age. Plays like a vet.
So many of his goals are clutch too, goals when the team most needs it.
Loved the vid. Thanks AC

I think theyll have a chance. Pre-injury Colborne looked great, it's easy to forget the awesome start he had after his average play towards the end of the year but I think big Joe will be better than people think.
Awesome video AC

Monahan has the selfless leader quality and that's why I think if he keeps producing and improving he will be the next Flames Captain.
Even the little act of giving Hudler the empty netter in Game 6 vs Vancouver.
I love it too because you actually hear more about Brian Burke, Brad Treliving, Bob Hartley, Jiri Hudler or Johnny Hockey being the leaders of the team. He quietly gets the job done and it keeps the pressure off him.
Edit: Thanks AC!!!

Great video!
Monahan has such a lethal release, its so deceptive. I can't believe this kid is only 20. So glad the Hurricanes took Lindholm instead of him! This guy is gonna be our franchise centre for the next two decades.

Awesome work as always!
Would still love to see a Bennett 'teaser' video with his highlights from the pre-season + playoff action.
Not sure there's a lot of footage to work with there but every bit I saw got me excited. Still can't believe we'll have the same crew as last year but will add Bennett and Hamilton full time. Wow.

Wow you managed to find a picture of Gaudreau not chewing his mouth guard. And Kane is chewing his to boot. Short American thing?
Thanks for the great video as always AC. These highlights show just how smart of a player Monahan is. He can see plays developing and is always in a position to score. And that wrist shot is just so damn accurate.
