I don't really see a big deal with the photo because at the end of the day we don't even know what is in his pocket. Even if it was chew it's hidden and likely something he never even thought about. Chew is definitely a part of hockey culture though so if kids know their hero's are doing it then it definitely reinforces the appeal.

Josh Jooris reminds me a lot of Dion Phaneuf in street clothes.

There's no such thing as too much curve on a ball cap.

Anyone catch a pic of him with his arm around Miss America? I was too far back for a good shot.

I wonder what celebrities think when they see Johnny and he tells them that he plays in the NHL

It's absolutely ridiculous the way we (not me) treat sports stars and celebs these days, a round package of "something" in his pocket and he's a bad role model now!

I'm old school yes but I remember guys like Mel Bridgeman having a couple of cocktails before a game to calm his nerves, Mike Vernon needing "help" to even leave the bar after a game, Paul Reinhart with many "ladies" and of course Theo (I won't go there) but everyone of them is still a hero in someones eyes and they didn't hurt anyone. These are guys that would admit it,laugh over it and they never were bad role models.

Here's an Idea! Please just leave these young players alone and let them find their own way and the stuffy dads learn to be role models to their own kids.

Why is Jooris' hand in his pocket? Protecting some drugs or tobacco I bet! Maybe medicinal marijuana for his injured arm.
