Question: Would us acquiring a player like Hamilton encourage other FAs to say "hey! he's a good FA and he went there, what's going on there?"
Like maybe it's a snowball effect. Elite FA goes somewhere, other FAs look at that?

I'll bet you it does have an impact. When young, talented free agents are signing with a team, others are attracted. But I think the attraction starts with young talented players draftees and an emerging team (ie. Gaudreau, Monahan, Bennett, Brodie). And then like you said it snowballs.

Frolik on the Fan 960 this morning. Boomer asks him about how familiar he is with Calgary and Warrener says "It's better than Winnipeg" Frolik says "yeah for sure."

Thought it was interesting when he talked about interviews. He was in Florida at the time, so was able to meet the teams face to face.
He said Calgary was the best meeting, and then suggested that is why he signed here.
