Nakladl was scratched and is a guaranteed Pro(AHL/NHL). No need to take a look at him in a scrimmage today.
By any chance was that also a reason why Hathaway was chosen as a scratch for the scrimmage today? I could see him being this years Jooris. Him or Klimchuck
Jankowski's bday was 2 days from being ineligible for the 2012 draft. For that reason I think it's fair to compare him to the 2013 picks we have.
1st rd (6th) SEAN MONAHAN - C (Ottawa - OHL)
1st rd (22nd) EMILE POIRIER - LW (Gatineau - QMJHL)
1st rd (28th) MORGAN KLIMCHUK - LW (Regina - WHL)
3rd rd (67th) KEEGAN KANZIG - D (Victoria – WHL)
5th rd (135th) ERIC ROY – D (Brandon – WHL)
6th rd (157th) TIM HARRISON - RW (Dexter Prep – HIGH-MA)
7th rd (187th) RUSHAN RAFIKOV – D (Yaroslavl 2 – RUS-JR)
7th rd (198th) JOHN GILMOUR – D (Providence College – H-EAST)
Monahan is clearly the crown jewel here, but Janko is at or better than Poirier or Klimchuck RIGHT NOW he's still far from a bust. If he's still toiling in the AHL 3 years from now sure, but showing promise (based on what I've read in this thread) puts him right on line for an NHL trajectory.
I'd love to see him in the AHL, but another year in school might not be the worst choice.
On what planet is the guy who scored 0.76 PPG in the AHL equal or below the guy who scored 0.73 PPG in the NCAA? I mean even the Flames acknowledge it by signing Poirer a year before they 'had' to and leaving Jankowski in college for the entire 4 years.
Hey guys thanks for the updates and videos. I am very excited about everything I have been reading. Just a couple questions for anyone that cares to answer. Is Kanzig a better skater than Breen was? How about Regehr? How is Klimchuck possession wise? I know it's hard to tell from one scrimmage but does he have the ability to hold on to the puck that extra second? I would love for him to be a top six winger but from past camps and viewings he was mostly invisible. Who has the biggest shot out of all the D men?

AHL and NCAA have similar NHLE

I'm not basing an observation of development on points from last year. If he's looking as good or better at the camp as Poirier or Klimchuck, I would say he's progressing as planned.
