Yes he could. He could sign it in the middle of the college season if he (and the Flames) wanted to.
Once a player signs that contract, they can no longer play in the NCAA.
I agree that he is ready. But no harm in another year of college either.

Hickey got the hip out on deblow pretty good. Not as hard as the kanzig hit in the first, but pretty solid hit from a guy I didn't expect a lot of physicality from.
