Correct me if I am wrong but isn't Kovalchuk considered retired now? 3 years in the KHL

Kovalchuk is officially retired with the NHL. He had to file the paperwork for the Devils to drop the contract.

We dumped the 3 year rule a couple years ago. As long as a player is still active anywhere they can be in the Cphl

We initially retired him when that happen but later changed our definition of retired for the cphl, so he's still eligible for our league play
