El Salvador are by far the worse divers in CONCACAF (and that's saying something)

That half was a good introduction to Canada at the Gold Cup. Floppinf everywhere? Check. Miss a wide open chance? Check. Shady defending? Check.

Time for another beer

I hate to think like an El Salvadoran, but Larin totally could've gone down on that and it would've been a penalty and a red.

As much as I don't like to think like that, but : CONCACAF.

He went too wide even for contact

Looked like he panicked when he saw the keeper 2 feet from him.

Canada has looked poor enough that I consider a 0-0 finish to be a victory.

El Salvador would be up if they stopped falling over.

They have wasted so much time, and the ref gave only 1' stoppage in the first half... so if part of their flopping plan is for extra time hoping to score, it backfired.

We need Buchanan at the back. Then I'd be comfortable.

Well that was a draw that felt like a loss. But it wasn't a 1-0 loss to Martinique so there's that.

Le sigh.

Unfortunately not a whole lot to get excited about tonight. Although the group is technically all tied up, this was Canada's best chance to pick up points.

Benito Floro lost my faith that he knows what he is doing with that lineup selection. I don't want to hear any arguments about resting players, this game was a mandatory 3 points. Rest your players against Costa Rica if you have to.

We're in tough tonight. If you didn't see Jamaica at Copa America they looked very good, losing 3 matches by the same score 1-0 to Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay but all three matches we're winnable. This a damage control type of match for Canada, can't afford any mistakes defensively and definitely have to capitalize if you have a wide open net.
