In his interview on fan960 after the draft it was MANJ-ee-ah-paan-eh.

Group C

Nakladal - Was traded into group B. Looked like a 27 year old player at a development camp. If he didn't stand out, there would be a major problem.
Studnicka - Did not notice him
Kulak - Looked like a player that has an NHL game under his belt. Very composed. Better by a long shot.
McDonald - More composed with less wasted energy than last season. Looks good. Having him and Gillies in the pipeline will help significantly.
Lomberg - Did not notice
Foguth - Did not notice
Dombrock - Did not notice
Dienes - Did not notice
Hawkins - He and Baillie were the best of the walk ons. Very fast with a good shot and nose to the net.
DeBlouw - Good bounce back in his final development camp. This year is a make or break one. He was a stand out a few years ago and then fell off the map. If he continues the play he had today through the balance of the season, he will earn a contract.

This excites me about Klimchuk. Guys that can produce points playing a simple, direct, game tend to have success in the NHL. If he can accept a pass, while creating and potting rebounds, he could be a great fit for Monahan/Gaudreau wing.

Great to hear. Really wish they would sign him to a contract so they could keep him in Calgary for the summer and have him work with our training staff. Needs to fill out that frame and he could be deadly.

Group D

Baillie - He and Hawkins were the best of the walkon forwards not only this year, but the last two years. That includes Josh Jooris, who was very good. Both were more dynamic than Jooris was in his first camp. If they continue their play, it'll be very difficult to not consider offering contracts.

Morrison - If the Flames did not already have 7-8 guys in the NHL as we sit right now, I'd say he would be a strong challenger for an opening day roster spot. He might even earn one if he keeps it up.

Kylington - Raw skill. Very high end skill. He needs to improve defensively and with skating backwards, which at times he got caught flat footed, but that will come. Spoke to him after the thing was over and he is a very personable player. Very confident in his own abilities and knows exactly what he needs to do to improve.

Culkin - Is 100% and his shot is coming along good. He will be competing for a spot in the NHL. All of Kulak, Culkin, Wotherspoon and Morrison are NHL ready, there just are not enough spots for them all.

Pitt - I didn't notice him much.

Clark - He was better than some of the walk on goalies that we have had in the past, but not someone worth signing.

Gilmour - He is steadily improving. Looks a little more solid than last year.

Marchment - Feisty forward with some speed and good hands. I could see him being signed to an AHL deal like Garnet Hathaway was last year.

Wilkins - Did not notice him.

Complete 180 on the defensive depth in the organization from even 2 years ago. Perfect example of not drafting for needs.

I think Janko is going to make the Flames make some very uncomfortable decisions next year. Some players they really like are going to have to move. I can definitely see him pushing hard for a main roster spot. Especially if he can be as defensively dominant in a main training camp.

Janko and Poirier look like they've put on some muscle.

Just watched the Bennett video on the Flames website -- sounds like the boys will be hitting the Stampede grounds tonight...

Klimchuck almost sounds like a Dean McAmmond-type player. How's his wheels?

So what you're saying, is we wouldn't trade Matthew Barzal/Kyle Connor for Griffin Reinhart. :

BTW you mentioned Kanzig took some serious strides.

Are you starting to see legitimate NHL potential?

I think he's getting closer to that, but not quite yet. Have to see more.
