And then made an excuse that she tried to, but her posts kept getting downvoted. If you're the CEO of reddit and can't figure how how to make your post stickied on the first page then you shouldn't have that job

She has done this as of today. But really appears to be the same as Alexis has already said. And considering what set this off, most are calling it lip service until something is actually done.

I don't visit reddit, but from what I've read elsewhere Ellen Pao seems like a tone deaf moron and unqualified as a CEO. The way things have been handled validates her previous employer passing over her for promotions. Sometimes you suck at your job and it isn't a gender conspiracy why you aren't more successful. Glad that lawsuit she filed was thrown out, although she likely succeeded in tarnishing KPC&B's reputation.

Yeah, hard to imagine that "interim CEO" tag will be replaced with "permanent CEO", but who knows?

But that's just a sign that she needed to find another way to communicate. And yeah, a sticky post would have done just fine. But I don't blame a CEO for that. I blame the technical admins who should not have been so oblivious.

It's exactly akin to saying there are rapists on Facebook. As such, using Facebook is supporting rapists.
But really Psychnet, there's absolutely nothing wrong with hating Reddit. If you hate it, you hate it. Some of us just feel the reasons you present don't quite jive. Reddit is just another medium used to browse online content. Content that would exist whether Reddit existed or not. You could tie your reasoning into hating YouTube, or Google, or the Internet in general (which maybe you do.. Which is OK too and would then be consistent heh).
